Wichita Amateur Radio Society was founded around 1968 to support the amateur radio community in and around Wichita Falls, Texas.  The primary purpose of WARS is to provide service to the community, state, and country.  The Club, in support of our community, provides communication equipment and personnel at several public events during the year.  WARS operates two repeaters in Wichita Falls, both with the call N5WF.
